Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) is one of the fastest growing parts of the FinTech sector. In Autumn last year, HM Treasury launched a consultation to ask how BNPL should be regulated. That consultation process has now closed, and we await the Treasury’s response and views on next steps.
At this APPG on FinTech event, we will hear from BNPL companies about their business models and views on what the regulatory regime in the UK should look like.
We will also hear from consumer groups and credit-focused organisations to understand perspectives on the issues of consumer affordability and debt management surrounding these kinds of lending-style products.
The agenda includes an open Q&A, so audience members can ask questions of the expert speakers.
