About

With a cross-party membership of MPs and Peers, the All-Party Parliamentary Group on FinTech’s mission is to provide a collaborative forum for parliamentarians to discuss the challenges and opportunities relating to the growth and competitiveness of the Financial Technology (FinTech) ecosystem in the UK, covering the depth and breadth of the sector. 

Key activities undertaken by the APPG on FinTech will include regular meetings and events in Parliament on FinTech issues ranging from delivering a regulatory environment that stimulates growth, competition and innovation in the sector and the financial resilience of consumer to the potential applications of transformative technologies such as blockchain, and enabling a sound regulatory framework to underpin the UK to become a world leader in FinTech. The APPG will also produce thought leadership to support debate and highlight the opportunities and challenges facing the sector. 

The APPG is chaired by Luke Charters MP, Member of Parliament for York Outer.

The secretariat of the APPG on FinTech is provided by Innovate Finance, the  independent industry body and voice of UK FinTech. Innovate Finance aims to accelerate the UK’s standing as a leader in FinTech by supporting the next generation of technology-led innovators.
